Rafha: In an exceptional environmental scene reflecting the richness and diversity of nature in the northern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the plains and pastures of the historic village of Lina, located south of Rafha Governorate within the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve, are draped in wide layers of seasonal grasses, herbs, and shrubs whose colors range between yellow and brown, forming a natural landscape reminiscent of the distinctive 'savanna' environment.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this season, Lina is witnessing rich botanical diversity, as aromatic herbs and native plants spread across the area, interspersed with trees of various species that create open natural habitats that are among the most prominent ecosystems supporting biodiversity, as they play a pivotal role in maintaining environmental balance and storing carbon.
The region offers enchanting visual scenes at sunset, as the shadows of the plants blend with the colors of the sky, making it an attractive destination for nature and photography enthusiasts. The plains also serve as a stage for wildlife and a home to various plant and animal species. These days, herds of camels and livestock are visible in the Al-Muayzilah area under an arrangement that adheres to environmental regulations.
These natural scenes coincide with the implementation of the second edition of the seasonal grazing program by the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority, launched in accordance with precise environmental standards to ensure a balance between protecting vegetation cover and meeting the needs of the local community. The program continues until January 31, with a regulatory and monitoring system that supports the sustainability of pastures and the preservation of their natural resources.
With its long history and diverse environment, the pastures of Lina stand out as one of the most beautiful ecological destinations in the north of the Kingdom, offering a renewed landscape that brings together the authenticity of nature and the beauty of the savanna at its finest.
