Kanem: The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) revealed accelerated growth in the participation of Saudi women in the Saudi accounting sector during the period from 2023 to 2025, in an indicator reflecting the development of the quality of the professional environment and the expansion of the base of qualified competencies, while boosting the path of building trust in financial reports by raising the level of compliance with standards and expanding the regulated practice of the profession.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the indicator for the number of women obtaining professional certificates recorded growth of 144%, bringing the total number of women holding professional certificates to 3,524 by the end of 2025. These certificates include professional tracks such as the fellowship of SOCPA, the value added tax specialist certification, and other specialized certificates related to enhancing technical readiness and improving the quality of professional outputs.

The growth also extended to practicing professions that fall under the supervision of the organization, as the total number of women holding professional practice licenses increased from 219 licensed practitioners at the end of 2023 to 317 licensed practitioners by the end of 2025, representing a growth rate of 45%. This reflects the expansion of regulated professional practice and the entry of more female professionals into the field through the establishment of new professional offices.
