The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) won two prestigious global project management awards at the PMI PMO Global Awards, recognizing the outstanding performance of its project management office in innovation and sustainable practices. The award website heralded the SWA's win, making a mark among the 2024 Excellence Distinction Winners. The SWA secured two accolades for being the best project management office in innovation and sustainable practices. The achievement reflects the SWA's continued dedication to implementing cutting-edge technological solutions and innovative practices, leading to heightened efficiency and the delivery of top-quality services in accordance with international benchmarks. Additionally, SWA has embraced sustainable strategies that strike a balance between economic efficiency and environmental responsibility. The SWA is actively spearheading a range of large-scale projects aimed at enhancing water resource management and harnessing state-of-the-art technologies linked to desalination and water conveyance. A total of 47 projects have been successfully executed across production, purification, transportation, and storage, with a total cost of SAR 46.47 billion. Plans are underway to devise an additional 60 projects, further cementing the authority's standing as a key player in water sector advancement at both local and global levels.
