Riyadh: The Saudi Water Authority has launched an AI development program for the water sector, marking a significant step as part of the Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026. This initiative is designed to enhance digital readiness and equip national talent with the necessary skills to implement smart solutions in managing water resources, ensuring long-term operational sustainability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program's immediate goal is to train 1,500 professionals by 2026, with an ambitious target of reaching 10,000 trainees by 2030. The authority aims to accelerate the adoption of AI in infrastructure management and innovation through specialized executive tracks.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom's broader strategy to position itself as a global leader in the digital economy and data-driven development.
