Saudi-US Cooperation to Achieve Diversity and Innovation in the Kingdom’s Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem

General

Riyadh: The strategic relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America has yielded new cooperation in the fields of data and artificial intelligence. This partnership has witnessed a qualitative leap in these advanced technologies, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

According to Saudi Press Agency, for six years, SDAIA, the national authority for data and artificial intelligence in the Kingdom, has worked to establish strategic partnerships with leading global technology companies, including American ones, to position the Kingdom as a global technology hub for cutting-edge technologies and those related to artificial intelligence. The Kingdom, represented by SDAIA, has harnessed its data capabilities and foresight expertise, bolstering them through continuous research, development, and innovation, and collaborating with countries worldwide in the field of data and artificial intelligence to maximize the benefits of these advanced technologies, including those from the United States. In this context, SDAIA signed more than 29 agreements with major global technology companies in the US last year, and has also signed more than 90 contracts with American companies this year (2025) to localize technologies, train national talent, and exchange knowledge and expertise in these technical fields.

These efforts stem from the ambitious Vision 2030, led by HRH the Crown Prince, with the aim of elevating the Kingdom to a leading position among data-driven and AI-powered economies.
