Saudi-Turkish Friendship Parliamentary Committee of Shura Council Meets with Turkish Ambassador

The Saudi-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Shura Council, chaired by Council Member and Committee Chairman Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Qannas, met with Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Fatih Ulusoy.

Talks during the meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

The Turkish ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in sending relief assistance to help the Turkish people after the recent earthquakes and harnessing all efforts to stand with those in need to mitigate the effects of the devastation.

Discussions during the meeting also reviewed Saudi Arabia’s cooperation with Türkiye in various areas and ways to boost them, mainly at the parliamentary level.

During the meeting, the two sides also stressed the importance of activating the role of the parliamentary friendship committees of the Shura Council and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, as they enjoy an important role in exploring wider prospects for enhancing relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
