Riyadh: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) was elected to the UN Tourism Board of Affiliate Members for the 2026-2029 term, marking a significant achievement just one year after Saudi Arabia's entry into UN Tourism. The STA secured a spot among the top five globally in terms of votes received.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this membership underscores Saudi Arabia's growing international presence and grants the STA the opportunity to actively engage in the board's activities. This participation aims to enhance cooperation and the exchange of expertise with other member states. Furthermore, it supports the STA's initiatives to strengthen the Kingdom's position on the global tourism map, promote its unique destinations worldwide, and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
