Saudi Team Takes First Place in Arab Math Olympiad.

Doha: The Saudi national team has topped the fourth edition of the Arab Mathematics Olympiad 2024 in Qatar, winning two gold and two silver medals. According to Saudi Press Agency, gold medals were awarded to Youssef Bakheet from Yanbu and Muath Al-Qahtani from the Eastern Region, while silver medals went to Ahmed Al-Shehri from the Riyadh Region and Ahmed Khalawi from Jeddah. The Saudi team achieved these results following preparation and qualification at the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education. With this achievement, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's total medal count in the Olympiad reaches 11 medals over three participations. The Arab Mathematics Olympiad is held every two years and features high school student participants.
