Saudi-Supported Tanzania International Holy Quran Award Concludes in Dar es Salaam

Riyadh: The 34th edition of the Tanzania International Holy Quran Award concluded on Sunday, sponsored and supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was organized by the National Muslim Council of Tanzania and took place at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. It featured 26 contestants from 26 countries and attracted over 60,000 spectators.



According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Abdullatif Al Alsheikh emphasized the significance of the event through a speech delivered by Mohammed Al-Arifi, Advisor at the ministry’s Agency for Islamic Affairs. Al Alsheikh highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to its Islamic mission, aiming to foster friendship and cooperation with Tanzania. The competition was presented at a level that was well-received by all attendees.



The ministry’s efforts to promote the Holy Quran were reviewed, noting their support for international Quran competitions, oversight of the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, and implementation of Dawah and educational programs. These initiatives aim to enhance the care for the Holy Quran and disseminate its teachings and values globally.
