Madinah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah has finalized its field preparations to provide emergency medical services on the night of the completion of the recitation of the Quran at the Prophet's Mosque. The operational plan aims to enhance emergency response speed and accommodate the large number of worshippers and visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the deployment plan includes over 60 ambulance units strategically positioned within the Prophet's Mosque and its courtyards. These units are supported by more than 50 mobile ambulances to ensure rapid access amidst dense crowds. Additionally, 20 electric stretchers have been allocated for urgent medical cases, complemented by 18 golf carts to facilitate patient transport within the mosque.
The authority has also bolstered its plan by deploying 15 ambulances in the central area surrounding the Prophet's Mosque. This measure is to ensure the swift transfer of critical cases to healthcare facilities and reduce response times. Ambulance teams are operating at full capacity around the clock, supported by qualified medical and technical personnel. Continuous coordination with participating health and security entities forms part of an integrated approach to ensure efficient crowd management and emergency response during this significant night.
The authority emphasized that these preparations underscore its commitment to delivering optimal ambulance services and maintaining high readiness to handle various situations, ensuring the safety of all during the peak of Quran recitation.
