Riyadh: A delegation from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, led by its President and Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Humanitarian Law, Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al-Owaisi, visited the headquarters of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) today. During the visit, Dr. Al-Owaisi met with ARCO Secretary-General Abdullah bin Suhail Al-Muhaidli to discuss the current humanitarian situation in the Arab region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Owaisi commended ARCO's role in advancing humanitarian work through coordination with its member entities, including national societies and associations. He emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and advocating for Arab humanitarian causes. ARCO's involvement in mobilizing and coordinating with partners to alleviate the suffering from natural disasters and humanitarian crises was highlighted as critical.
The delegation toured ARCO's departments and specialized centers, gaining insights into the organization's operational and strategic initiatives.
