Saudi-Qatari Business Forum Highlights Investment Opportunities in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Federation of Saudi Chambers held the Saudi-Qatari Business Forum in Riyadh on Monday. The forum was attended by Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Qatar Chamber and Industry Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, and Federation of Saudi Chambers Chairman Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi. More than 300 investors from both nations participated in the event.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Kassabi highlighted the significant investment opportunities available between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, emphasizing the private sector's eagerness to invest. He noted that trade between the two countries reached approximately SAR 4.6 billion by the end of 2024, underscoring Saudi Arabia's role as Qatar's top trading partner.

The Saudi minister stressed the importance of cooperation between the two nations, driven by their strategic aspirations, to enhance key sectors and deepen bilateral relations, reflecting their economic importance.

Dr. Al-Sayed, representing Qatar, pointed out the alignment between Qatar National Vision 2030 and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. He mentioned opportunities in fields such as human development, industry, logistics, and renewable energy, which are key areas for private sector involvement.

He also highlighted the favorable investment environment in both countries, which attracts local and international investors, and expressed a shared goal to increase trade and investment exchanges.
