Riyadh: Saudi Post (SPL) has issued a commemorative stamp priced at SAR3 and a postcard priced at SAR5 for the Hajj season 1446 AH. This initiative underscores SPL's dedication to using postage stamps to highlight important occasions, including the Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SPL has issued around 49 special stamps related to Hajj, encompassing themes such as its pillars, duties, timings, and development projects in the Grand Mosque and other holy sites. These stamps are part of the 'SPL' series, which emphasizes key national events, including religious, cultural, artistic, and sporting occasions, as well as significant international events. Each postage and commemorative stamp captures a significant event or immortalizes a notable scene from Saudi history, making them highly valued by stamp collectors worldwide.
