Saudi Nominee Wins First Place in International Quran Competition in Kazakhstan


Riyadh: In a new national achievement for the Kingdom’s advocates of the Holy Quran, the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that the nominee of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Shami, won first place in the 2nd annual International Quran Recitation and Memorization Competition.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition was held at the capital’s Astana Grand Mosque, which is the largest mosque in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, with the participation of 21 countries. This accomplishment marks a significant addition to the ministry’s series of international successes in promoting the care of the Holy Quran.



The victory reflects the Kingdom’s leading role in serving the Holy Quran and underscores the efforts of Saudi Arabia in supporting and nurturing Quranic activities on a global scale. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Shami’s achievement is not only a source of pride for the Kingdom but also a testament to the dedication and skill of its representatives in international religious forums.
