Saudi Media Forum Concludes with Announcement of Award Winners

Riyadh: The fourth Saudi Media Forum, held from February 19 to 21 under the theme “Media in an Evolving World,” concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary and other dignitaries. During the event, the winners of the forum’s awards across 14 media and communications categories were announced.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum, recognized as the largest specialized media gathering in the Middle East, attracted over 80,000 local and international visitors. It featured more than 80 dialogue sessions and 30 workshops, facilitating strategic opportunities for local companies to connect with global counterparts. These interactions aimed to forge partnerships addressing the rapid transformations within the media industry. The forum also focused on developing national media talent through five initiatives and six interactive experiences.



FOMEX, held concurrently, showcased the latest technologies and innovations in the media sector, with participation from over 250 local and international companies. The exhibition highlighted the advancements and future directions of media technology.



The forum further fostered partnerships, resulting in 16 strategic memoranda of understanding and cooperation between government agencies and the private sector. These agreements are centered on broadcasting, media training, and developing national competencies within tourism and sports storytelling sectors, aligning with Vision 2030 to contribute to the national economy.



Over the course of three days, the forum offered a platform to explore both local and international media experiences. It examined the potential of new media and explored methods to harness soft power in the modern era.
