Saudi Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor Participate in 4th G20 FMCBG Meeting

Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Aljadaan and Saudi Central Bank’s Governor Ayman bin Mohammed Alsayari participated in the fourth G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting held in Marrakech, Morocco held on 12-13 October.

The meeting, which was organized by India’s G20 Presidency, was attended by G20 finance ministers, central banks governors, and leaders from international financial institutions.

The attendees discussed developments in global sovereign debt issues, means to strengthen Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) to address shared challenges of the 21st Century, the global economic outlook and the adoption of the G20 Roadmap on Crypto Assets.

The meeting highlighted recent developments in the Saudi economy as well as policies and reforms that contributed to promoting sustainable growth and the strong performance of the non-oil sector supported by healthy private sector growth.

A communiqué was adopted after the meeting.
