Aqaba: Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley held bilateral meetings with environment ministers and officials during the 21st ministerial council of the Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden (PERSGA), hosted by Jordan in Aqaba.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister Alfadley met with Jordanian Minister of Environment Dr. Muawiya Radaideh to discuss cooperation on shared environmental issues, particularly marine conservation. He also spoke with Egyptian Environment Minister Dr. Yasmine Fouad on the same topic.
During the PERSGA meeting, Saudi Arabia signed a protocol for regional cooperation in fisheries management and marine aquaculture in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, reinforcing regional collaboration on marine environmental challenges and resource preservation.
