Riyadh: The Saudi Electricity Company announced on Sunday that it had completed its operational plan for the Hajj season of 1446 AH, marking the occasion with the successful official declaration of the season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the company ensured the delivery of electric service with high reliability and efficiency. This achievement was under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Energy and the oversight of the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority, ensuring that all necessary measures were in place to support the massive influx of pilgrims.
Throughout the Hajj season, there were no power outages reported in the public network across the holy sites. This reliability was crucial in maintaining the comfort and safety of the pilgrims during their religious activities.
The holy site of Mina experienced historic peak loads, recording a 4% increase from the previous year's Hajj. This significant rise underscores the growing demand for electricity during the pilgrimage and the successful efforts of the Saudi Electricity Company to meet these demands efficiently.
