The Saudi Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs for Mosques Affairs and Secretary-General of Local and International Holy Quran Competitions, Sheikh Suleiman bin Fahd Al-Khamees, has met with the Secretary-General of the Mauritanian Scholars Association, Sheikh Ould Saleh, along with the association's members at their headquarters in Nouakchott. This meeting took place during Sheikh Al-Khamees's visit to honor the winners of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah, which is in its first edition. During his visit, Sheikh Al-Khamees toured the association's facilities and received a briefing on its activities and scientific services. Sheikh Ould Saleh emphasized that the competition held in Mauritania reflects the ongoing efforts and support provided by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Holy Quran and promotes fruitful cooperation in scientific endeavors. In response, Sheikh Al-Khamees express ed his appreciation for the efforts of Mauritanian scholars in serving Islam, spreading the creed, and addressing the needs of the Muslim community.
