Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Accredits 27 CME Hours for Ophthalmology Conference


Riyadh: The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has accredited 27 continuing medical education (CME) hours for participants and registered attendees of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society Conference 2025. The conference, organized by the Saudi Ophthalmology Society in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology at King Saud University, will take place from November 13 to 15 in Riyadh.



According to Saudi Press Agency, Conference Chairman and President of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society, Dr. Abdulrahman Albloushi, stated that the CME accreditation underscores the conference’s importance and global standing. He noted that the event serves as a key scientific platform, enabling participants to enrich their expertise, gain new skills, exchange knowledge, and stay updated with the latest advances in eye disease treatments and diagnoses.



Dr. Albloushi added that the conference will also feature an international medical exhibition with participation from several leading companies specializing in ophthalmic devices, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies.



Chairman of the conference’s scientific committee, Dr. Tariq A. Alzahem, emphasized that the accreditation demonstrates the organizing committee’s efforts to develop a robust scientific program. The event will feature presentations from over 45 experts from around the world and is expected to attract more than 2,500 physicians and specialists from within the Kingdom and abroad.



Additionally, the conference will host the first Gulf Ophthalmological Societies Congress, adding a unique regional dimension and strengthening its role in advancing ophthalmology across the Gulf region.
