Saudi Arabian Scouts Association Deploys Advanced Digital Maps to Aid Pilgrims

General

Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association is utilizing advanced technology to produce detailed, interactive maps for pilgrims during the Hajj season 1446 AH. The maps cover key locations such as Mina, Arafat, the Grand Mosque area, Aziziyah, Naseem, Batha Quraish in Makkah, and parts of Madinah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, these maps have evolved from traditional paper formats to smart digital tools that enable pilgrims to locate themselves and navigate to their desired destinations using mobile applications. The apps can be downloaded via the association's official website or by scanning QR codes on printed maps distributed at the holy sites.

This upgrade reflects the association's continuous fieldwork throughout the year to monitor geographical and infrastructural changes in the holy sites. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims annually benefit from these maps.
