Cairo: The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission has concluded Saudi Arabia's participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2026, which took place from January 21 to February 3. The Saudi pavilion, spearheaded by the commission and supported by ten government and cultural organizations, was noted for its content and engaging programs, drawing a substantial number of visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the pavilion saw considerable attendance and hosted various cultural events, including seminars and poetry evenings featuring prominent Saudi writers. These events contributed to cultural dialogue and increased the visibility of Saudi literature within the Arab cultural domain.
The commission emphasized that the fair serves as an essential platform for establishing relationships with publishers and intellectuals, as well as promoting cultural cooperation. It reiterated its dedication to supporting the literature, publishing, and translation sectors and enhancing their presence in key international venues.
