Riyadh: Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb announced the official launch of TOURISE, the world’s premier industry-defining platform aimed to reshape the future of the global tourism sector, bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors. From November 11 to 13 in Riyadh, TOURISE 2025 will host tourism experts and investors from around the world to create innovative visions that support sustainable growth in the tourism industry.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Khateeb stated that the tourism sector has become one of the most interconnected and dynamic sectors in the global economy. It necessitates adaptation to global developments through embracing technological changes, meeting evolving tourist expectations, and responding to the urgent call for sustainability and inclusivity.

The summit constitutes a rich opportunity for collaboration among innovators across various sectors, the minister noted, emphasizing TOURISE’s potential to reimagine the future of tourism. The platform will engage visionaries, innovators and other individuals from diverse fields to develop creative solutions to the challenges facing the sector. It will present exceptional opportunities to build strategic relationships.

The platform is set to launch the TOURISE 2025 Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in destinations and organizations across several key areas: sustainability, digital transformation, heritage preservation, and human capacity development. Nominations will be submitted through the TOURISE Awards online portal, with winners announced at an official ceremony during the platform.

Activities will continue throughout the year via digital collaboration with specialized working groups and multi-sector partnerships, which will enhance the program’s sustainable impact. The organization reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing role in leading the future of global tourism, having welcomed around 30 million international tourists in 2024, with the sector contributing 5% to gross domestic product (GDP).
