Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will celebrate Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) Day on March 27, marking a nationwide commitment to combating climate change and cultivating environmental stewardship. As the countdown to SGI Day continues, participation from across the Kingdom has been extensive, illustrating how deeply sustainability has become embedded in Saudi culture.
According to Saudi Press Agency, throughout Ramadan, SGI has engaged with the public through interactive campaigns designed to champion environmental action. The interactive Green Ramadan Mosaic continues to expand as Saudis contribute images of their eco-friendly practices, transforming individual actions into a powerful visual testament of nationwide dedication to sustainability.
Namour, SGI's mascot, has energized communities with the "30 Deeds in 30 Days" challenge, inspiring environmental commitments in classrooms and neighborhoods across Saudi Arabia. Participants demonstrated how environmental values are being embraced by citizens of all ages during the holy month, and three winners of the nationwide challenge will be announced during SGI Day celebrations.
