Accra, The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) is taking part in the annual Conference of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), held in Accra, Ghana, from May 19 to 24. The conference is attended by 1,500 participants from 80 countries, and features around 70 sessions. It focuses on geospatial technologies and innovations that have become major tools in ensuring resilient environments and sustainable natural resource management, and offers a platform where surveying and spatial professionals may exchange expertise and share best practices. GEOSA, the platinum sponsor of the conference, held a session titled "Survey and Geospatial Information in Saudi Arabia in the Past, Present, and Future", which was attended by FIG President Dr. Diane Dumashie and several other experts in this field. Saudi Ambassador to Ghana and Togo Sultan Al-Dakhil visited GEOSA's pavilion at the conference and lauded its effort to strengthen partnerships with international organizations, in l ine with the pioneering role of the Kingdom in the field of geospatial information. FIG was founded in 1878 and is a UN- and World Bank-recognized non-governmental organization of national member associations, cadastral and mapping agencies and ministries, universities and corporations from over 120 countries.
