Saudi Arabia Strengthens Gulf Economic Cooperation in Kuwait

Kuwait city: The Kingdom's delegation, led by Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Governor Dr. Saad Alkasabi on behalf of Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority of Foreign Trade Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, concluded its participation in key Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meetings in Kuwait.

According to Saudi Press Agency, at the 69th meeting of the Commercial Cooperation Committee, discussions focused on several strategic economic initiatives. These included the latest developments in free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations with various countries and international blocs. The committee also reviewed progress in the implementation and drafting of unified commercial regulations for GCC countries and received updates from the GCC Investment Undersecretaries Committee. The efforts to enhance joint Gulf action and dialogue with entrepreneurs and the private sector were also a crucial part of the discussions.

The delegation also participated in the 10th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs. This meeting reviewed the latest developments at the GCC Standardization Organization and affirmed the commitment to strengthening cooperation in standardization to support intra-regional trade and shared economic growth.

In addition to these sessions, the delegation took part in the 6th consultative meeting between GCC ministers of commerce and industry and Gulf entrepreneurs, further cementing collaboration with the private sector.
