Saudi Arabia Showcases Pioneering Role at International Complementary Medicine Conference in Istanbul

Jeddah: The Kingdom concluded its participation in the third International Conference on Complementary Medicine, held over three days in Istanbul, Turkiye, which featured high-level global attendance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a workshop was conducted by Deputy Executive Director General and Supervisor of International Cooperation at the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), Dr. Abdullah bin Obaid Alanazi. He presented a review of Saudi Arabia's experience in regulating complementary medicine practices, in line with the highest international standards.

Participants at the conference aimed to discuss strategies for implementing the objectives of the World Health Organization's recently approved ten-year strategy for complementary and integrative medicine (2025-2034). This strategy was endorsed by the WHO Council last May in Geneva, Switzerland.
