Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Saudi Arabia will host the Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific from December 3 to 5 in Riyadh. This event, organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) every three years, is one of the most significant regional gatherings in the field of social security and insurance protection. According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia's role as the host reflects its commitment to addressing future challenges and opportunities in social security. It also highlights the Kingdom's position as a central hub for both regional and international cooperation, reinforcing its leadership in building strategic partnerships that foster the exchange of knowledge and experience across diverse fields. The forum offers an opportunity to enhance the role of GOSI in developing innovative services and products, addressin g global challenges, and advancing solutions that improve the social security landscape. As an influential global economic and social hub, Saudi Arabia seeks to showcase its distinguished track record in insurance protection, as well as the pioneering initiatives it has launched in this sector. By hosting the forum, GOSI aims to highlight its experience as a leading provider of social insurance services, contributing to the empowerment of various generations through innovative products that improve individual insurance protection. Furthermore, the forum facilitates the exchange of best practices with participating countries, enabling Saudi Arabia to benefit from the latest developments in the social insurance sector. Representatives from more than 30 ISSA member countries in the Asia and Pacific region will participate in this year's forum. Over 450 participants, including institutional leaders, social security specialists, policymakers, and experts from more than 58 international organizations, will gather to discuss insurance protection systems, share best practices, and identify solutions to current challenges. This collaboration will help ensure the sustainability of insurance protection mechanisms and further enhance the level of social security for individuals. GOSI has been an active member of the ISSA since 1977 and has received numerous awards for its governance practices, technological advancements, business continuity, and investment strategies. Additionally, it was elected as a permanent member of the ISSA's executive office, joining 322 other organizations worldwide.
