Saudi Arabia Engages Global Leaders in AI Dialogue at UN General Assembly

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), will highlight its role in utilizing artificial intelligence as a driver of change during a high-level session at the Digital Cooperation Day event of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) in New York. Participating in the session will be SDAIA's Vice President Eng. Sami Moquim, along with ministers and senior officials from governments, organizations, and technology companies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the session is organized by the Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (ODET) in collaboration with UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). It aims to showcase AI's potential in driving inclusive development and enhancing multilateral cooperation. The Kingdom's initiatives in using AI to enhance digital inclusivity and accelerate sustainable development will be highlighted during the session, alongside contributions from other global technology leaders.

This participation reinforces the Kingdom's position as a trusted partner in UN efforts to harness AI for digital development and support the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
