Saudi Arabia, Colombia Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation

Riyadh: Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan met today with Minister of Culture, Arts and Traditional Knowledges of the Republic of Colombia Yannai Kadamani Fonrodona to further cooperation across various cultural fields. The meeting highlighted areas for cultural cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to further strengthen cultural exchange and foster mutual understanding through creative collaboration.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers signed a memorandum of understanding identifying cooperation in the following areas: heritage, music, architecture and design, museums, film, libraries, visual arts, theatre and performing arts, literature, publishing and translation, fashion, and culinary arts. The agreement outlines practical frameworks for collaboration between cultural institutions in both countries, including knowledge exchange in cultural policy, training programs, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives, among others.

The signing builds on the cultural partnership between the two nations and reaffirms the Kingdom's efforts to engage in cultural dialogue and partnerships through fostering cross-cultural understanding and creating new opportunities for collaboration.
