Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, serving as Co-Chair of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution alongside the Kingdom of Norway and the European Union, took part in the 10th Meeting of the Global Alliance. This significant gathering was hosted by the Italian Republic in Rome and included participation from member states and international partners.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi delegation was led by Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Negotiation Team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During her remarks, Dr. Radwan emphasized that the international community now possesses a comprehensive political framework to advance peace efforts, built upon the New York Declaration, United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, and President Trump's Comprehensive Peace Plan.
The Kingdom expressed concern over the widening gap between international efforts and the continued deterioration of the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. It highlighted that the devastation and humanitarian suffering in Gaza, ongoing settlement expansion, settler violence, military incursions, and unilateral measures in the West Bank are eroding the viability of any path toward restoring stability and achieving peace.
Saudi Arabia underscored that sustainable peace cannot be reached solely through security measures or humanitarian assistance. Instead, it requires a comprehensive political process that guarantees the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign state. This process should ensure security for all and foster genuine partnership and regional integration among the peoples of the region. The Kingdom emphasized that this vision, grounded in the Arab Peace Initiative, the New York Declaration, and the Comprehensive Peace Plan, is the only realistic path to achieving security, dignity, and prosperity for all countries in the region.
The Kingdom reiterated its commitment to working with international partners, primarily the United States, the Italian Republic, members of the Global Alliance, and the Palestinian National Authority, to translate this vision into concrete steps. It stressed that the next phase requires political will, collective responsibility, and serious implementation to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace.
