Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is set to experience increased rainfall and rising temperatures this fall, according to a report released by the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). The forecast, which covers the period from September to November 2025, predicts above-average precipitation and a rise in average surface temperatures across most regions of the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the report highlights that September is expected to see significant rainfall, particularly in the regions of Jazan, central and western Aseer, and western Najran, which are anticipated to experience extremely heavy rainfall. Additionally, heavy rain is forecast for areas such as Al-Baha, southern Makkah and its highlands, southern and western Madinah, and southern Eastern Region. In November, above-average rainfall is expected to continue, affecting Jazan, southern and central Aseer, northern Makkah, and southern Madinah.
The report also indicates that average surface temperatures during the fall season are likely to rise above normal levels, with a 70% probability of occurrence. The most significant temperature increases, reaching approximately 0.8 degrees Celsius, are expected in parts of Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Madinah, Hail, Northern Borders, and the southeastern part of Eastern Region. Other regions may experience milder increases in temperature, while conditions are projected to remain near normal in Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, and parts of Najran, Makkah, and Riyadh.
