Saudi and Kuwaiti Foreign Ministers Sign Four MoUs at Coordination Council Meeting

Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah welcomed State of Kuwait Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya to the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on Monday. During their meeting, the ministers discussed the historic and fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, focusing on issues of mutual interest. According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers co-chaired the third meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations. The session built on the outcomes of the council's subcommittees leading into 2025. Prince Faisal highlighted the significance of the session's success and the strong ties binding the two nations. Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya expressed gratitude for the hospitality and anticipated hosting the next session in Kuwait. The meeting concluded with the signing of four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in various fields. The first MoU focused on Radio and Television Cooperation, signed b y Saudi Assistant Minister of Media Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth and Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Undersecretary Dr. Nasser Ahmed Muhaisen. The second MoU, covering Economy and Planning, involved Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning Undersecretary Eng. Rakan bin Waddah Tarabzoni and Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil Undersecretary Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah. The third agreement, in Science, Technology, and Innovation, was signed by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology's Dr. Ziad bin Saleh Al-Raimi and Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance Undersecretary Aseel Sulaiman Al-Munifi. The fourth MoU, focusing on Public-Private Partnership Cooperation, was signed by National Center for Privatization Chief Executive Eng. Muhannad bin Ahmed Basudan and Al-Munifi from the Kuwaiti Finance Ministry. The session was attended by several senior officials, including Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham Abdulrahman Al-Falih, Foreign Affairs Ministry Deputy Minister Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, and Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, among others.
