Riyadh: The Alimony Fund of the Saudi Ministry of Justice disbursed over SAR78 million in monthly maintenance payments to more than 23,000 beneficiaries in 2024, ensuring timely financial support.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the fund's objective is to provide prompt alimony payments to eligible recipients, promote financial stability for families, and enforce responsibility by recovering payments from those legally obligated to pay. The fund has enhanced engagement with beneficiary families, addressing over 11,000 inquiries and distributing 15,000 awareness messages to educate the public and protect the rights of all parties.
The fund has also recently made a significant advancement by streamlining the alimony disbursement process, enabling eligible individuals to complete applications online and receive payments within five working days, provided all conditions are met.
The fund ensures monthly maintenance is paid to those with valid court-ordered entitlements and is tasked with recovering these amounts from the liable parties. Its services are accessible via the Nafaqah.sa website, where users can log in using their ID number and date of birth to submit applications electronically.
