Riyadh: The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), has initiated early preparations for the 2025 International Standards Olympiad. This event is set to take place in August in South Korea.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participating students will engage in a qualification program featuring several training courses and a series of specialized workshops. These students will also attend a preparatory training forum, guided by a team of experts and specialists, to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for global competition.
The International Standards Olympiad is an annual event held in South Korea for middle and high school students. It aims to highlight participants' understanding of standards and foster the exchange of innovative ideas related to standards and technology.
