Riyadh: Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Dr. Saad Alkasabi met with Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef at SASO's headquarters in Riyadh today. The meeting aimed to review topics of mutual interest and explore potential avenues for integration and cooperation in specifications, metrology, and quality.
According to Saudi Press Agency, discussions centered on supporting the objectives of national industrial development, empowering the industrial sector, and advancing the training and qualification of national talent. The meeting highlighted the importance of aligning efforts to strengthen the industrial sector and enhance the national quality system.
During the visit, the minister toured several SASO laboratories, including those for iron and steel, construction and building materials, furnaces, sanitary ware, and energy efficiency. The tour provided an opportunity to witness firsthand the capabilities and technological advancements present at SASO.
This visit is part of a series of meetings organized by SASO with senior government officials. These meetings are designed to enhance institutional integration, strengthen strategic partnerships, and expand collaboration in areas related to standards, quality, and specifications.
