‘Samn and Sameen’ Festival in Billahmar Records Over SAR420,000 in Sales in Opening Days

Riyadh: The fourth edition of the 'Samn and Sameen' Festival, held at Al-Athab Center in Billahmar: recorded sales exceeding SAR420,000 during four days. Located 117 km northeast of Abha, the festival spans an area of 160,000 square meters.

According to Saudi Press Agency, these sales included over SAR300,000 from ghee products and livestock, and about SAR120,000 from incubators supporting families in the cottage industry. The festival aligns with Aseer Region's comparative advantage and aims to spotlight its heritage, featuring 30 stalls for local products and 30 incubators for family-run cottage industries.

Additionally, the event includes a dedicated area for rare camels and sheep, with market values exceeding SAR150,000 for rare camels and SAR50,000 for distinctive sheep breeds. This festival serves as an annual event that boosts commercial activity and promotes tourism and heritage in Al-Athab Center, Billahmar.
