Riyadh: The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has been awarded the International Accreditation Certificate for Procurement Operations by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). This prestigious acknowledgment underscores SAMA’s commitment to adhering to international standards and best practices in operational sustainability, ensuring the efficiency, governance, and quality of its procurement activities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the accreditation was granted after a comprehensive evaluation where SAMA successfully met 98 requirements across seven key areas. These areas include the development and implementation of strategies, the enhancement of human capabilities, leadership, organization, and performance measurement. Additionally, SAMA demonstrated excellence in operational governance, automation, efficiency, contracts and risk management, compliance with ethical standards, and a steadfast commitment to sustainability in procurement operations and supply chains.
