Riyadh: Sabya Governorate, located in the Jazan Region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, is becoming an increasingly promising tourist destination. According to Saudi Press Agency, Sabya holds a strategic position that connects it with the city of Jizan and several other major governorates. The region is celebrated for its cultural and economic diversity, featuring numerous tourist and historical landmarks that highlight its rich heritage.
In its pursuit of sustainable development, the Jazan Region Municipality is presently supervising 123 projects worth SAR2.216 billion. These projects span various sectors, including development, tourism, and investment, aimed at enhancing the area's appeal.
Efforts are underway to improve Sabya's infrastructure through collaboration across different sectors. These initiatives include organizing local events and festivals that celebrate folklore and traditional arts, creating distinctive tourist routes, and offering high-quality hospitality services. The objective is to boost eco-tourism and cultural opportunities, enriching the overall visitor experience.
