Royal Institute of Traditional Arts Welcomes Pilgrims with Culturally Inspired Gifts

General

Riyadh: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) is welcoming pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia via land, sea, and air ports with gifts inspired by traditional Saudi arts. This initiative, a collaboration with the Pilgrims Awareness Center and Saudi Airlines, aims to enrich the pilgrims' experience culturally and intellectually.

According to Saudi Press Agency, pilgrims are receiving prayer rugs adorned with Arabic calligraphy and medallions featuring traditional inscriptions, reflecting authentic Saudi cultural values. Accompanying these gifts are educational information cards about Hajj rituals provided by the Pilgrims Awareness Center.

Gifts are being distributed at key entry points, including King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah Islamic Port, and the Hajj dispatching control center on Hijra Road.

Wrth's participation aligns with its mission to raise awareness of traditional arts and offer a unique pilgrim experience, coinciding with the Year of Handicrafts 2025. This effort highlights national identity and strengthens the global presence of traditional Saudi arts.
