Aseer region: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth), in collaboration with Soudah Development Company, has opened registration for a specialized training program on Al-Qatt Al-Asiri, a traditionally female interior wall decoration inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2017.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is scheduled to run from July 27 to 31 in the Aseer Region, allowing participants to explore the history and aesthetic elements of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri. The program will cover traditional methods of decorating home walls with geometric patterns and engravings inspired by the local natural environment.
Additionally, participants will engage in practical training to create natural colors and master traditional artistic techniques, providing a comprehensive understanding of this cultural art form.
