Roads Authority Assists Over 1,900 Stranded Pilgrims via Mobile Units on Hijrah Road

Makkah: More than 1,900 pilgrims have benefited from the Roads General Authority's Hijrah Road mobile site initiative, launched to provide temporary rest areas in the event of bus breakdowns.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative operates 24 hours a day throughout the Hajj season along the Makkah-Madinah Highway (Hijrah Road). Each mobile unit can accommodate around 40 pilgrims and is equipped with air conditioning, rest areas, toilets, cold beverages, and hospitality meals.

The initiative reflects the authority's commitment to ensuring maximum comfort and safety for pilgrims traveling between Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.
