Riyadh: Riyadh will host today the final qualifiers of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT), which will continue until November 23rd. The world's best riders will participate in this event which will be held on a dedicated arena beside King Abdullah Financial District. According to Saudi Press Agency, the final qualifiers will feature individual competitions, with the winners of all previous rounds qualifying. There will also be quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals for teams before the highly anticipated "Riyadh Final" on Saturday. Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation (SAEF) president Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah emphasized the federation's keenness to host the largest and most prestigious championships in all equestrian sports. He noted that the LGCT will witness strong competition among individual and team riders. Prince Abdullah added that the championship will see the participation of a large number of Saudi riders of both genders, giving them the opportunity to gain experience from the world's elite riders. These hosting experiences will greatly benefit all Saudi nationals working in the equestrian sports sector, as they will work alongside foreign experts in all the championship facilities.
