Riyadh: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Advisor Turki Alalshikh announced yesterday that the number of visitors to Riyadh Season 2025 has surpassed five million since its launch. This milestone reflects the steady growth in public turnout and the widening interest in the season's diverse artistic, sporting, cultural, and gaming events.
According to Saudi Press Agency, recent days have witnessed a notable increase in visitor numbers, driven by the influx of visitors and tourists from various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the current fall break.
The season's events recorded remarkable attendance, with Yemen Culture Week becoming one of the most prominent attractions this week in the Al-Suwaidi area. Visitors gathered in large numbers to explore authentic Yemeni heritage, from folk and traditional arts to customary attire, famous Yemeni dishes, and handicraft showcases.
Boxing Week events, hosted in Riyadh last week, also contributed to the surge in attendance, led by The Ring IV: Night of the Champions at anb Arena, featuring top international fighters. The Riyadh Season 2025 Snooker Championship also drew considerable interest.
The season also recently saw the opening of Riyadh Zoo, attracting a strong turnout from animal enthusiasts. The zoo houses more than 1,600 animals representing 170 species, distributed across six main zones designed to simulate natural habitats from various continents.
Another highlight was the opening of Beast Land, presented by global content creator Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, one of the season's most notable new zones. Spanning 188,000 m², the zone offers rides, adventures, and interactive shows for all ages.
High visitor turnout continued in Boulevard World, offering diverse entertainment experiences inspired by multiple cultures, alongside Boulevard Riyadh City, which attracted large numbers of visitors through its theaters, celebrations, and family-friendly games.
Surpassing the five-million-visitor mark in such a short period underscores Riyadh Season's status as a global destination attracting visitors from both inside and outside the Kingdom, thanks to the wide array of experiences that bring together culture, sports, arts, and entertainment.
