Riyadh Municipality Secures Three-Year Membership in ISOCARP

Riyadh: Riyadh Municipality secured a three-year membership for the city of Riyadh in the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) during an official visit by a municipal delegation to the organization’s headquarters in The Hague, reinforcing the capital’s presence within global urban planning networks.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the visit came in response to an invitation from ISOCARP, during which Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Saleh Al-Saif, head of the delegation, formally received the membership certificate.



The program included specialized sessions on urban transformation and the exchange of planning expertise, as well as field visits to several leading urban development projects in the Netherlands. These engagements provided an opportunity to benefit from international best practices and strengthen knowledge exchange in urban planning and development.



The participation underscores Riyadh’s growing role in shaping future cities and enhances its engagement with international platforms focused on urban planning and innovation. It also aligns with the municipality’s ongoing efforts to advance sustainable urban development and build effective global partnerships.
