Riyadh: The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced Riyadh Region Municipality as a strategic partner for the 21st UNIDO General Conference, which will be hosted in Riyadh at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center from November 23 to 27, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Riyadh Region Municipality's participation reflects its pivotal role in supporting sustainable industrial development and enhancing integration between the municipal and industrial sectors, thereby contributing to the creation of a comprehensive and attractive urban environment for industrial investments. Through this participation, the municipality aims to showcase its efforts in developing infrastructure that supports industrial activities, as well as highlight its initiatives in digital transformation, environmental sustainability, and investment enablement.
The conference is expected to advance key objectives that include strengthening international cooperation in sustainable industrial development, accelerating innovation, supporting the transition toward cleaner and more efficient industries, and attracting investments while enhancing transparency and industrial governance. Its convening represents a pivotal milestone for reinforcing global cooperation and building an innovation- and knowledge-driven economy.
The conference will see broad participation from 173 member states of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It will bring together ministers, industrial transformation leaders, officials, experts, and investors from around the world, along with stakeholders, researchers, and representatives of industrial sectors. This landmark event reflects Saudi Arabia's growing international standing and its rapid achievements in the industrial sector.
