Riyadh: As part of the fourth annual Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, a high-level side session focused on the effective role of international humanitarian volunteerism, highlighting lessons learned, challenges faced, and future perspectives.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the session featured the participation of Royal Court Advisor and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Supervisor-General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, along with senior officials, humanitarian leaders, and experts from international organizations.
Discussions centered on successful global experiences in humanitarian volunteerism, strategies and lessons learned to enhance volunteer engagement, and the role of technology in expanding volunteer opportunities.
The session also explored approaches to increasing volunteer participation, with a focus on fostering public-private partnerships to support humanitarian volunteer work.
