Riyadh: The fourth annual Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum concluded today, marking the end of a significant event held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event also witnessed the presence of Riyadh Region Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum, themed "Navigating the Future of Humanitarian Response," gathered leaders, experts, policymakers, and practitioners from the humanitarian field worldwide. In the final statement, participants expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his patronage and extended thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his support for humanitarian initiatives. They reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a global community that embodies resilience and compassion.
Participants, including leaders from governments, the United Nations, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, academia, and the private sector, pledged to address humanitarian challenges through collective action and diplomacy. They committed to upholding humanitarian principles and international law in global efforts, enhancing cross-sector cooperation, and developing supply chains and innovative solutions.
The forum emphasized the need for partnerships to empower displaced individuals and communities and promote social cohesion. Participants also renewed their commitment to sustainable solutions for affected populations, aiming to contribute to positive global change. The statement concluded with a call to explore humanitarian responses with courage and determination, aiming for progress towards a just and humane world.
