Riyadh: Riyadh Air, the Kingdom's new national carrier, and Mahd Sports Academy signed a cooperation agreement to launch the largest national initiative for discovering and developing sports talents within a strategy that enhances collaboration across multiple areas of sports development.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this partnership represents a milestone in building an integrated sports ecosystem that empowers national talents and strengthens the Kingdom's international presence in the sports arena. It combines Riyadh Air's extensive portfolio of global sponsorships and partnerships with Mahd Academy's pioneering expertise in discovering and nurturing athletes to create a generation of champions.
This collaboration seeks to establish sustainable pathways for Saudi athletes and coaches, activate knowledge and experience exchange programs at the international level, and enhance the integration of the Kingdom's sports ecosystem while consolidating its global standing.
The Soaring Talents program is a landmark initiative, offering comprehensive scholarships for Saudi football talents to train and study at Atl©tico Madrid's High-Performance center. The program includes advanced professional training, specialized academic education, nutritional and medical support, and cultural exchange opportunities, ensuring a holistic experience that develops both the athletic and personal dimensions of participants.
The cooperation also focuses on developing Saudi coaching competencies by providing opportunities to learn from the best global practices, hosting international experts and trainers in the Kingdom, and sending Saudi coaches abroad for advanced international experiences. Additionally, Riyadh Air and Mahd Academy will support the Saudi Youth Football League, enhancing the base of emerging talents and ensuring the sustainable growth of the local sports sector.
