Rising Temperatures and Dust-Stirring Winds Expected Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has forecast rising temperatures across the Eastern Region and parts of the Riyadh Region. Dust-stirring winds are expected over these areas as well as Najran, Tabuk, Madinah, and Makkah regions. Thunderstorms with gusty winds are also anticipated over the southwestern highlands of the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 10-42 km/h in the northern and central parts, and 20-42 km/h in the southern part. Waves may range from half a meter to two meters, and the sea will be calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly in the northern part, and northeasterly to easterly in the southern part, at speeds of 10-25 km/h. Waves may range from half a meter to one meter, and the sea will be calm.
